Job Description
The Role
We are looking for an additional HR member to join our workforce team. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the workforce team and help with generalist HR tasks when required.
This is a dynamic position based in a busy environment, which is suited to someone who is highly efficient, organised and enthusiastic. We are seeking a professional individual with a strong ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands with sensitivity and sound judgement.
Key responsibilities include:
Responding to our workforce email inbox
Development and preservation of our HR system
Data entry and maintenance of anything employee related
Assisting with HR generalist activities, including orientation checklist, compliance checklist (police vetting & drivers licence)
Keeping staff files up to date
Working in conjunction with our payroll and IT team
Other general administrative duties
The hours of work are (20 per week) on a Monday – Thursday from 8.30am – 1:30pm, however, hours could be negotiable
Desired Skills and Experience
We are seeking someone with an administrative background and an interest in human resources. Someone who has sound judgement, with a strong ability to prioritise and manage administrative duties.
Previous administrative experience or a relevant HR qualification is an advantage
A positive, professional attitude and a friendly demeanour
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Strong time management and prioritisation skills
Demonstrate punctuality and the ability to adapt, prioritise and plan
Exhibit a consistent and methodical approach to your work
Proven abilities in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook are essential
Must have a full driver licence and be available for an interview in Dunedin
