Job Description
About the Role
We’re looking for part-time support workers to walk alongside people as they explore their community, dive into their hobbies, and build life skills.
In this role, you will:
Support people in the community as they set and achieve personal goals
Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
Provide practical assistance with routines, well-being, and skill-building
Model positive behaviours and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued!
The right candidate will be flexible to work a variety of day, evening and weekend shifts.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring
Our Lower Hutt team is looking for someone with:
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A positive attitude and calm approach in challenging situations
A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 4 Health and Wellbeing) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
Must have the right to work in New Zealand
