Job Description

The Role

We’re seeking an additional highly organised, people-focused Workforce Advisor to support our recruitment, onboarding, and workforce administration functions.

In this role, you’ll help ensure a smooth, positive experience for new and prospective employees while maintaining accurate workforce records and supporting key compliance processes. You’ll be the first point of contact for general workforce queries, coordinate recruitment administration, prepare onboarding documentation, and support managers in following consistent, high‑quality processes.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in recruitment, HR coordination, or workforce administration who is ready to grow their capability within a supportive, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support the end-to-end recruitment process
  • Prepare and upload job advertisements
  • Manage candidate communication and interview scheduling
  • Prepare employment offers and onboarding documentation
  • Support induction and orientation processes for new staff
  • Maintain and update workforce records and employee files
  • Enter and update employee information in HR systems
  • Manage the workforce inbox and triage queries
  • Assist with compliance checks
  • Track performance appraisal dates and send reminders
  • Support the administration of internal policies
  • Provide professional workforce support to managers and staff
  • Pre-screening candidates

About you:

You may come from a recruitment or onboarding background, or you may have broader administration experience and a strong interest in HR. You’ll be able to take information about what our unique services need and use it to help create job ads, screen applicants, and support the selection of the right people. You will be organised and process-driven, but what matters most is that you bring a positive, friendly approach to your work—and a good sense of humour to the team.

You will bring:

  • Intelligence, initiative, and a willingness to learn
  • A positive attitude and a sense of humour
  • A caring, people-centred approach
  • Good judgment about when to chat and when to focus

You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • Confident communicating with staff, managers, and external partners
  • Detail-focused, accurate, and committed to maintaining high-quality records
  • Professional, approachable, and discreet with sensitive information
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting demands
  • Keen to develop your HR and workforce capability and know that is a journey
  • Looking for an opportunity to gain broad HR exposure in a medium-sized NGO where you will make meaningful contributions in many different ways

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience

  • Strong administration or coordination experience
  • Experience in recruitment, HR, or workforce support (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • A positive, solutions-focused approach

Why Join Us?

You’ll be part of a supportive Workforce Team that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and delivering a great experience for our people. This role offers hands-on exposure to recruitment and HR processes, with opportunities to grow your skills and contribute to meaningful work across the organisation.
