About Pact

At Pact, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a meaningful, connected life.

We are a leading provider of community, vocational, and residential support across New Zealand. Job Description

About the Role

If you’re someone who enjoys a challenge and has experience (professional or lived) supporting people with complex needs, we’d love to hear from you.

We currently have casual positions (as and when required) available, including a variety of day, evening, weekend, awake-night, and sleepover shifts. Whether you are after a few shifts a week or something more regular, this role is an excellent opportunity to get some hands-on experience, but work when it suits you.

In this role, you will:

  • Support people with disabilities as they set and achieve personal goals
  • Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
  • Provide practical assistance with routines, wellbeing, and skill-building
  • Model positive behaviors and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
  • Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
  • And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued!

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

Our Wellington team is looking for someone with:

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • A positive attitude and calm approach in challenging situations
  • A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
  • A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 4 Mental Health) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand

What will Pact offer you?

At Pact, you’ll be part of a supportive, down-to-earth team that cares equally about our staff as we do the people we support. We offer you:

  • In-house training to ensure you have the skills and knowledge to best support our clients
  • $26.80 - $31.47 per hour based on qualification
  • Celebrate your milestones with Long Service benefits
  • Encouragement and support to achieve the NZQA Level 4 Qualification
  • Free Employee Assistance if you require additional, confidential support
  • Watch people grow and blossom whilst celebrating every achievement
