Job Description
About the Role
If you’re someone who enjoys a challenge and has experience (professional or lived) supporting young people with complex needs, we’d love to hear from you.
In this role, you will:
Support a young man (teen age) as they set and achieve personal goals
Encourage school and community engagement
Provide practical assistance with routines, wellbeing, and skill-building
Model positive behaviours and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
And most importantly, the young man you work with has fun and feels valued!
We currently have full-time positions (80 hours per fortnight) with a variety of day, evening, weekend, awake night, and sleepover shifts.
Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring
Our Kapiti Coast team is looking for someone with:
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A positive attitude and calm approach in challenging situations
A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 4 Mental Health) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
Must have the right to work in New Zealand
