Job Description

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-loving admin superstar to join our HR team in Dunedin. This is a part-time role (25 hours per week).  

You’ll be a key part of our Workforce team, helping out with admin tasks and getting hands-on experience in entry-level HR work

 

About You

You might be studying HR or have some junior experience in the field. You’re organised, process-driven, and eager to learn.

You don’t need to know everything—we’ll train you. But you do need to bring:

  • Intelligence and initiative
  • A great attitude
  • A sense of humour and a caring nature
  • Good judgment about when to chat and when to focus

Desired Skills and Experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the Workforce email inbox
  • Maintaining our HR system
  • Data entry and upkeep of employee records
  • Supporting HR processes like orientation and compliance (e.g. police vetting, driver’s licence checks)
  • Keeping staff files accurate and up to date
  • Liaising with Payroll and IT teams
  • Pre-screening candidates
  • General administrative support
  • Lunchtime reception cover

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently studying HR or with some entry level HR experience
  • Previous office-based admin experience
  • A positive, professional attitude and friendly approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and prioritisation abilities
  • A methodical, consistent work style with great attention to detail
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook)
  • Must be available for an in-person interview in Dunedin
