In this role, you will:
Support people with disabilities as they set and achieve personal goals
Encourage participation in daily life and community activities
Provide practical assistance with routines, well-being, and skill-building
Model positive behaviors and foster confidence, resilience, and hope
Keep clear, accurate documentation to support progress
And most importantly, ensure the people you work with have fun and feel valued.
We currently have full-time positions (80 hours per fortnight) with a variety of day, evening, weekend, awake night and sleepover shifts.
Desired Skills and Experience
What You’ll Bring
Our Lower North Intellectual Disability team is looking for someone with:
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience supporting people (professional or lived experience welcome)
A positive attitude and calm approach in challenging situations
A genuine passion for helping others grow and succeed
A full driver’s licence and basic computer skills
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 4 Mental Health) — or willingness to work toward one once you’re on board
