Job Description

Pact is looking for casual Community Support Workers to support clients in leading fulfilling lives.

 

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate casual Community Support Workers to join our team at Pact Group. This position will be based in Wellington and falls under the department of Lower Hutt Disability Services.

**Responsibilities**

  • Providing support and assistance to individuals with intellectual disability challenges within the community.
  • Delivering person-centred care and practical support to empower clients in achieving their goals.
  • Advocating for clients' rights and promoting social inclusion and community integration.
  • Building positive relationships with clients, their families, and relevant community organisations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of client interactions, progress, and any relevant information in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Participating in team meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills and Experience

  • A full driver's licence is essential 
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand (visas must be valid for more than twelve months)
  • A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with clients, staff, and external agencies
