Pact is seeking a dedicated Senior Workforce Advisor to join our Workforce team based in Dunedin. In this generalist HR role, you will be pivotal in providing HR support to the organisation, including timely, high-quality, and practical advice to operational managers on employment relations matters. You will also provide HR support throughout disciplinary, performance management, and personal grievance processes. This role is suited to someone who is highly efficient, organised, enthusiastic, and likes variety in their work week.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert advice and guidance on workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to develop and implement effective workforce plans aligned with organisational objectives.
- Utilise our HRIS to conduct comprehensive analyses of workforce data, identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Undertake recruitment processes, including job advertising and shortlisting.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies across all workforce-related activities.
- Deal with HR queries from management and staff
- Review and update job descriptions and HR operational guides
- Review and update HR policies so they are in line with current legislation

We seek an HR professional with a relevant qualification and 3-4 years of experience in the HR field. The successful candidate will need a strong ability to prioritise and manage conflicting demands with sensitivity and sound judgment, as well as a good working knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and best practice. This role is a permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week, based at our head office in Dunedin.
