Job Description
Pact is looking for a part-time (64 hours per fortnight) Community Support Worker to support our rangatahi to lead fulfilling lives.
About the Role
Pact is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to work alongside our rangatahi who experience challenges with their mental health. We are seeking an individual who will inspire, encourage, and serve as a role model, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and a ‘can-do’ attitude.
This role will have a strong focus on client goals and outcomes, and you will assist the young people in the service in achieving maximum independence.
As we operate 24/7, hours of work will include day, evening, weekend, awake night, and sleepover shifts.
Encouraging and motivating client participation in day-to-day life
Supporting them with activities of daily living, including in the community
Ensuring support with medication and personal hygiene
Supporting social and whanau connection
Ensuring client processes are accurately documented
Most importantly, supporting them to have fun and live fulfilling lives
Desired Skills and Experience
Skills and Experience
A full driver's licence is essential
Must have the right to work in New Zealand (visas must be valid for more than twelve months)
A level 4 or other relevant qualification in mental health is desirable but not essential
Excellent communication and networking skills
Ability to build and maintain working relationships with clients, staff, and external agencies
